Nitrous oxide is a colourless gas. It has two nitrogen atoms and 1 oxygen atom written as N2O. Nitrous oxide is commonly used for anesthesia and pain relief by medical doctors and dentists. It has also been misused by people for recreational reasons.
Another use for nitrous oxide gas is as a fuel booster in cars. Nitrous oxide is not flammable at cooler temperatures. However, when super heated the oxygen is broken off and helps combust the cars ordinary fuel and release more power.
The nitrous oxide available here is for cooking purposes. It can be utilised as a foaming agent in food and drink, whipping cream, making mousses, infusing flavours into alcohol and lots of other culinary applications.
